Long Torso, No Problem. Right?!?!?

Ahhh... the Torso dilemma.  If you are tall, you are likely blessed with a long torso.  You might have the greatest abs in the world, but that doesn't mean you want to put them on display.  It's not enough that we feel slightly awkward in our high waters, no, now we have to deal with spilling out of our tops too.  This is the thing: Most women look for shirts that are fitted, feminine, but proportionate to suit their frame.  Take Dress shirts for example (My biggest pet peeve).  You will want your sleeves to be long enough to allow for movement, without pulling on the sleeve so much that it's past your wrist. 

Of course, exceptions can be made in the sleeve's length if you intend on tying them back.  

Another important factor to good movement is that your shoulders don't feel restricted in the top.  You may prefer a more fitted look to accentuate your waist, or a more relaxed fit.  Regardless what your preference might be, your shirt should end below your hip to allow for overall good movement.  Unless you tuck the shirt into your pants, you will not want the shirt to expose your low waist.

You will want to experiment with different brands to find the correct fit.  Some women opt to just go for small Men's dress shirts.  You might find that Men's Collars are a bit larger than you're used to however.

Gap Jeans

While I'm on Jeans, here's another great find!!  Sexy Boot Jeans by Gap! I know, I know.. it's Gap, but don't let that fool you.  These (and many of their other) Jeans come with a 37" inseam in their Tall Category.  It is a thin material, but you can't beat $60 bucks!!  I have a couple of Gap Jeans in my closet, and this is my favorite one.  Remember, you have to be able to move comfortably in Jeans... while looking good wearing it! (Don't ask me which is more important!!!)

Okay, if you're not willing to drop $200 bucks on a pair of Jeans like Gisele, welcome to my world.  Alloy is known for carrying an array of stylish Jeans at 35" to 37" inseams for incredibly low prices.  Really.. the first time I found their site, my mouth dropped to the floor.  I haven't purchased any jeans lately, but maybe it's time :)  And the back, not to heavy on the embroidery.   At$34.90, I'm a fan, I'm a fan!!!

Lululemon Yoga Groove Pant Tall

If you could own just one item from Lululemon, make it the  Lululemons Yoga Groove Pant.  At an inseam 35, this is the ultimate of all Yoga Pants.  It is pretty expensive at $98.00 but little compared to all the money I've wasted on other pants that I've now donated.   It really is the only Gym Pant you will ever need.  Not only are they reversible, they will make your tush look so good, you'll want to spend every day at the gym just to show it off.   Careful: These run small.  If you can't try them on in the store, make sure to order one size bigger than you are used to.

Wedding Shoes

 

In the spirit of my upcoming nuptials, I've been looking for cute bridal shoes that were dressy, elegant, with a low kitten heel. I do not want to tower over my future husband at the ceremony!  It's a small feat, but I can finally say I found my wedding shoes! These Coloriffics Andie carry a 1' inch heel, but look absolutely stunning on. Zappos carrys other similar style's with a covered heel, but that style has a 2' inch heel.  You can dye them, if you like, or leave as is.  Either way, they will complement any dress style beautifully.
